They also feature carpet boost that increases the robot's power when it spots an abundance of dirt on the carpet in order to get it cleaned up quickly.
The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored excellently in our tests on floors that were bare They are also adept at cleaning dog hair. However, they have several flaws that prevent them from being our top pick. One of them is that the Q5's navigation doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance, so it's prone to get caught up in shoes and socks and can't navigate tightly packed rooms very well in our tests. It also doesn't have an image sensor that lets it see the corners of the room.
It's still a good deal particularly if your office or home has lots of unfinished floors and you want to save money. Plus, it's very quiet and can work while you're at work or at school. The only thing it's missing that you can't find in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on bare floors. The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact sleek and stylish vacuum cleaner that also has the ability to mop floors. Its intelligent cleaning maps and nimble navigation make it easy to clean, and effective in dealing with larger particles, like pet hair. It also has self-emptying dustbins with powerful suction and support for virtual boundaries. It's the best robot hoover for carpets but it falls behind some competitors when it comes to deep cleaning.
This high-performance vacuum and mop uses sensors that help it keep away from obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the layout of your home over time and offer better cleaning. With an elegant circular design that appears more like a normal Roomba than the competitors' compact models this mop and robot vacuum is one of the most attractive looking models in our tests. The newest model from iRobot happens to be its smartest, with advanced features including enhanced dirt detection technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can autonomously wash mop pads).
It's the only robotic mop or vacuum that has a perfect 10 in our tests, thanks to a combination of high-tech sensors, including cameras, a structured lighting system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could refill and empty its basestation in a self-contained manner. It also boasted a suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop mops.
The X40 as with other iRobot products, is easy to use. It has an easy mobile application interface and integrates with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only issue is that the X40 is still a loud unit. This could be a problem in mornings before work or during the night when you are trying to fall asleep.

iRobot L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the best robot mop and vacuum. It has a range of advanced features that make you forget about your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaning device, similar to Ecovacs top-of-the-line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It has a multifunction dock which automatically empty the vacuum's bin and fills up the water tank, and cleans and drys mop pads.
The smart robot utilizes LIDAR and structured lighting to map out floorplans and identify obstacles. It can navigate more efficiently than its competitors with premium features. It also has a front-mounted camera for real-time detection of hazards however, it wasn't foolproof in our testing and was sometimes confused by power cords or other obstructions.
Its vacuum cleaner has a maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than sufficient to do the job. It also has a feature called "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the power of the vacuum and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for various areas of the house depending on how dirty these areas tend to be.
If you have a bigger home, it's worth selecting a robot that comes with the option of cleaning zones or spots. The RX3 is a cleaner with more intelligence than you might think from its price. It's a pro at cleaning, removing 55% of the debris we found in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mopses using only one pad and a reciprocating movement which is cleaner than the majority of the mop cleaners with robots that we've examined. It's also extremely self-sufficient, with a fully-featured application, and a self-emptying base that can be washed.
The iRobot app is designed to guide you through an exercise in mapping, which gathers information on your floorplan as well as any "no go" areas that you have marked on the map. You can use it to create cleaning schedules, arrange the perfect spot for cleaning or prioritise your dirtiest rooms to ensure better performance.
